Arena Fair is Delaware's Community Theatre. Every Great mid-American city needs a performing ground for the public to present great works and theatre through the prism of the Delaware community. This can be done through works of American musical theatre, plays and musical reviews. We are just here to tell a story and we are first rate story tellers.
Arena Fair started with a feeling that every community should celebrate with a summer musical. With the help of the stage at Ohio Wesleyan, Arena Fair has staged some of the best musicals of the past half century .Arena Fair musicals have something for all aged performers and a spectacle for all aged theatre -goers.
Realizing that not all great actors can sing, Delaware needs great straight drama penned by some of the great authors of the American Theatre. To showcase their talents we took the name from the great Delaware chief that founded a settlement on the banks of what would become the city of Delaware. With the help of many partners within the city , we have met our challenges for staging with unusual sights for the plays so that where we perform them is almost as interesting as the play itself.
Sometimes you just want to hear great music sung by our best singers. With musical tributes to Richard Rodgers, Lerner and Lowe, Disney and Irving Berlin, we have custom designed shows for the discriminating tastes of American Musical Theatre.
