Murder on the Orient Express

This new (2017) adaptation of Christie’s classic mystery features the great detective Hercule Poirot solving a tale “of romance and tragedy, primal murder, and the urge for revenge” aboard the most glamorous train in the world.

Auditions are being held on August 13th and 14th, at 6:00pm in the Zion United Church of Christ in Delaware, OH.  (51 W. Central Ave., Delaware, Ohio)
You will be asked to read a few scenes with other audition participants. Very low stress and friendly environment!

First read through will be held Thursday, Aug 17th at 6:30pm.  We will rehearse two weekday evenings per week through August and September.  Off book date is Sept 30.

Characters (age range represents the age the character must credibly seem to be on stage):

Hercule Poirot  – Male, age 40 to 60, precise to the point of primness, strong Belgian accent. He is the greatest detective in the world

Monsieur Bouc  – Male, age 30 to 50, Belgian accent

Mary Debenham – Female, age 25 to 35, British accent

Hector MacQueen – Male, age 25 to 40, American accent

Michel the Conductor – Male, age 40 to 60, French accent

Princess Dragomiroff – Female, age 60 to 80, Russian accent

Greta Ohlsson – Female, age 30 to 50, Swedish accent

Countess Andrenyi – Female, age 25 to 40, Hungarian accent

Helen Hubbard  – Female, age 50 to 65, American accent

Colonel Arbuthnot  – Male, age 35 to 50, British accent

Samuel Ratchet – Male, age 40 to 60, American accent
