Dan Vogt (Grandpa)

I first worked with Dan on Arena Fair’s production of Murder on the Orient Express where his character Bouc was fun and hilariously playful at every turn. I worked with him on The Tempest as well, where I discovered that Dan is probably the hardest working volunteer actor in community theater. He was 75% off-book at audition, because he knew he was

born for the role of Prospero. He is a pleasure to work with. He knows his lines early in the production and constantly brings ideas to help improve the performance, not just for himself, but everyone. Quite simply, Dan makes everyone better. And he’s got a great sense of humor and perfect timing. Dan is one actor who never needs to be told how to deliver a line, he just gets it. Yet he still asks how I want things because he is dedicated to the craft and to the show. -Chris Crawford, Director
